A cooperative of statisticians and data scientists in Toulouse and Bayonne

is, as its name suggests, a Worker Cooperative (SCOP) .

We are based in Toulouse and Bayonne, but we work throughout France.

We adhere to cooperative principles: a fair distribution of added value and profit-sharing for employees who wish to take part, democratic decision-making within the company, and no shareholders outside the company's employees. These are the values that guide our entrepreneurial project.

Our experts for your data

Louis Kuhn

A graduate of ENSAE ParisTech, Louis worked across various applications of statistics (academic research, R&D, consulting) before joining the Observatory of Solidarities at Drees, where he was in charge of leading and analysing a comprehensive survey of child protection institutions. He then returned to his native Basque Country to reunite with Antoine and their Statoscop project.

Louis is a jack-of-all-trades who likes to get to the bottom of things and enjoys technical challenges. Statistics and computer science let him quench his thirst for technical problem-solving.

Antoine Sireyjol

Also a graduate of ENSAE ParisTech, where he met Louis, Antoine then worked in the statistical department of the Ministry of Social Affairs, Drees, on the Ines microsimulation model, which is used to study the effect of tax and welfare policy on inequality. After 4 years at Drees, including one year as head of the microsimulation unit, he became a freelance statistician and returned to the south-west of France, from where he launched the Statoscop project with Louis.

Antoine loves explaining what a p-value or a PCA is using graphs, comparing the performance of different programming languages, and advocating for everyone to switch to free and open-source software!

Statisticians and data scientists

Advances in data processing and analysis have led to a separation between what has come to be called data science and the more traditional field of statistics. We explain why we define ourselves as both statisticians and data scientists.
